Radiohead Tour, Bat For Lashes, Album no 4, Horror Movies and Harps

25th May
Hello,
I am about to go on tour with Radiohead across Europe with Bat For Lashes, my work with Natasha has been keeping me occupied when I'm not recording and at the moment we're all residing in Brighton while we reherse.
We have spent the last few months putting all the pieces together both here and New York and have a few final days left then we're off check out the Bands Website for details there are a few intimate shows before the tour starts.

I have also been working on the music to a Horror Movie which when I wasn't having nightmares over I was enjoying the process of making music to very violent images, nothing like inventing sounds to blood trickling out of someone screaming their lungs out ahem ! Actually I did get numb to it after a while but at first I was wondering if I'd ever get through it. The movie is due for release in the summer I think, I'll put the details up when I know.

My album No4 is coming on well don't worry I am working hard on it despite all of the above, I like having alot going on as it keeps me moving you can get abit stale sometimes if you're in one place all the time doing one thing, I have so much I want to do for this record I'm really excited about it, it has been taking it's time I know but it all feels good and I'd rather that than anything else to be honest.
I have been writing and recording with a Harp and also Phonofiddle which is brilliant for string arrangements and piano plus some strangeness from old analogue synths and an old Victorian Chord Zither, I have suddenly started falling in love with old folk instruments but tuning and using them differently, I know how to make it sound this way in my head the gift is making it pour from my fingers on to tape.
See you soon
Ben
